Carma Sponsors a Litter Picking Geofence in Dalston, London

Carma, a platform deeply rooted in community service and environmental preservation, is thrilled to announce its sponsorship of a geofenced area in Dalston (London) on the UnLitter app, aimed at incentivising people to pick up litter. This sponsorship will now allow users in Dalston to earn rewards for picking up litter. This marks the second area to be sponsored in London.

UnLitter UK is an app that gamifies the process of litter collection, offering incentives and rewards to users who contribute to cleaning up their neighbourhoods. The app uses geofencing technology to define areas where users can collect litter and earn Ucoins for doing so. Ucoins can be spent in the app on rewards ranging from discounts or promotional items offered by local businesses and corporate sponsors to unique experiences or opportunities provided by partnering organizations. By sponsoring an area in Dalston, Carma encourages more residents to participate in the initiative, helping to keep their community cleaner and greener.

"This partnership is an extension of our commitment to social responsibility and environmental sustainability," said Kevin McCombie, Carma's Partnerships Lead. "We believe in the power of community action, and we are excited to work with Unbox Universe on this initiative that harnesses technology to make a positive environmental impact."

Through this initiative, we aim to empower individuals to take an active role in keeping their communities clean. Our partnership with Carma allows us to amplify our mission and extend our reach," said Frederick Acton, Commercial Partnerships at Unbox Universe. "With Carma's sponsorship, we hope to see a significant increase in environmental awareness and action within the community."

Geofence sponsorship is a great way for brands to showcase the commitment to sustainability, actively engaging with customers and employees on sustainability is the surest way for brands to avoid charges of inauthenticity. Moreover, the exposure the of the sponsorship to the apps users doubles down as a targeted marketing campaign.

In addition to Carma’s sponsorship, UnLitter has already partnered with Visit Britain to sponsor a geofenced area in County Durham and Young planet to sponsor an area in London Fields. UnLitter is looking for more organizations and individuals who want to sponsor an area, whether you are a government looking to keep your streets clean, an employer who wants to reward employees for beautifying the workplace, a brand with a strong ESG mission, or even just someone who is fed up with trash on their morning dog walks. UnLitter is a cost-effective way to take action and get all the data to prove the impact.

The end goal is to engage stakeholders in geofencing the entire UK! Download UnLitter in the Apple Store and Google Play Store.
